Deleting your account
You can delete your Hekta account and all of its data directly in the app, no need to email us:
- Open Hekta and tap the Settings (gear) icon.
- Tap Account, then Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete.
Deleting your account is permanent and can't be undone. Your account and associated data are removed from our active databases within 30 days. If you can't access the app, email hektachallenge@gmail.com and we'll handle the deletion for you.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices does Hekta support?
Hekta runs on Apple iPhone. You can sign in with Apple or Google. There is no Android or web version yet.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Hekta Plus subscriptions are auto-renewing and billed through Apple, so you manage them in your Apple ID settings rather than inside Hekta. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, then choose Hekta to change the plan or turn off auto-renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
How do I restore a purchase?
To restore a Hekta purchase, open the upgrade screen in the app and tap Restore. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so reinstalling the app and signing in with the same Apple ID brings them back.
How do refunds work?
Refunds for Hekta are handled exclusively by Apple, not by Hekta. Request one from reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple ID you purchased with.
I'm not receiving notifications.
If Hekta notifications are not arriving, first enable notifications for Hekta in your device notification settings, then check the notification settings inside the app. Both need to be on for reminders and cheers to reach you.
How do I leave a group challenge?
To leave a group challenge in Hekta, open the group and choose to leave it. If you are the last member to leave, the group and its data may be deleted.
